Our role in a child's development
Building strategic thinking
Playing games supports strategic thinking and analytical skills. Kids learn to observe and react to situations, draw inspiration from more experienced players and explore different tactics.
Building social skills
Players have to communicate effectively with their teammates and respond constructively to opinions and criticism. Playing games can also help develop language skills.
Developing motor skills
Gaming activities require speed, precision and good reflexes, all of which contribute to developing motor skills. Regular training can improve these skills significantly.
Building discipline
Playing games brings responsibility and the need to follow set rules and roles within a team. Discipline is a key factor for success in online games.
Teamwork
Most online games are played in teams, which strengthens the ability to cooperate effectively with others. Over time, players become better team players and achieve better results.
Developing creativity
Playing games encourages players to think outside the box and find creative solutions to problems. No matter the game genre, players learn to overcome obstacles and develop innovative approaches.
The basics of healthy gaming
Ergonomics
Ergonomics is key to ensuring health and comfort, which leads to increased productivity and a lower risk of injury. Preventing ergonomic problems includes proper arrangement of your workspace, using suitable aids and taking regular breaks to rest and stretch.
Healthy eyes
Working and gaming on a computer can affect eye health, so it's important to take care of them. Regular rest and good ergonomics can help protect your eyesight from damage.
Compensatory exercise
Special exercises designed to offset the negative effects of one-sided strain or prolonged sitting. They strengthen weak muscle groups, release overworked muscles and improve overall balance and coordination.
Mental resilience
Key to managing stress and overcoming obstacles in both personal and professional life. It helps you stay focused on your goals, adapt to change and deal effectively with setbacks. Strong mental resilience supports positive thinking and improves mental health.
Nutrition, the basis of everything
A balanced intake of nutrients — whole grains, fresh vegetables, fruit, quality protein and healthy fats. A sufficient water intake and avoiding excess sugar are also important. A regular eating routine and timing meals around training support performance and recovery.
Online safety
Using strong and unique passwords for every online service, which reduces the risk of accounts being breached. It's important to be careful when sharing personal information and to only access trustworthy websites.
Information for parents
A detailed FAQ, conditions of participation and other information for legal guardians can be found on our partner website.
Open the FAQ for parents →DNE Juniors is a modern esports club for young players that connects the world of gaming with education and a healthy approach to technology. We don't see esports as just playing games — we teach children and students how to move around the online world safely and smartly, work effectively with information and develop skills they can use outside the gaming world too.
The programme covers not only esports itself and teamwork, but also internet literacy, online safety, proper online behaviour, a healthy lifestyle, ergonomics when working with a computer and compensatory exercises for correct posture and the prevention of health problems.
The club was created as the first of its kind at the 2nd Primary School in Dobříš, and since its launch it has enjoyed great interest from both students and parents. DNE Juniors creates an environment where kids develop not only their gaming skills, but also critical thinking, communication, discipline and healthy habits for the digital age.
